Solar-powered purification system reduces sanitizer usage by releasing safe, metallic ions into your pool water so bacteria and algae cannot survive.
The Floatron pool ionizer electrode should be replaced each season to ensure best performance. Replace the Floatron electrode anually or when the electrode is about 1/4 inch diameter.
Floatron purifies pools up to 50,000 gallons. The solar panel on the top of unit heat up causing the copper electrode in the water to release the sanitizing ions into the pool water. Cuts sanitizer usage up to 75%.
Scale build-up on the Floatron is normal. Both the spring and the center electrode will require periodic cleaning, which can be done quickly and easily. If the electrode is allowed to become heavily scaled, it will restrict the electrical flow and slow the pool ionization.
Lay the Floatron unit face down and remove thumbscrew and plastic screen.
Use a cleaning brush and rinse or you may just blast off accumulation using a high pressure garden hose.
