Metal Free is a highly effective metal deactivation agent that prevents staining and discoloration from trace metals such as iron and copper that may be in pool fill water or in water added to maintain water level. It should be used as part of a well-designed pool maintenance program where local water requires it, or where well water is the pool water source.
Metal Free is strongest chelating agent available for deactivating dissolved copper, iron and other heavy metals from swimming pool water. Helps prevent discoloration of pool water and staining of pool sides and bottom. Use in all plaster pools and whenever water tests results show the presence of metals.
Metal Free is compatible with and just as effective as Baquacil®, Soft Swim® and Revacil® metal control pool chemicals.
Metal Free does not raise phosphate levels in pool water. Since phosphates have been proven to be the limiting nutrient for algae growth, keeping phosphates at a very low level is desirable. When used as directed, Metal Free: Deactivates iron, copper and other trace metals that can affect water clarity and stain pool surfaces Is not affected by extremes of pH and temperature Will not add limiting phosphates to the pool Will not damage landscaping around the pool.
