Hayward swimming pool heaters represent the very latest in pool heating technology. Their advanced features include a new Cupro-Nickel heat exchanger, which provides superior protection against pool water imbalance and aggressive water that causes pool equipment damage and failure in standard copper heat exchangers.

Hayward pool heaters feature a rust resistant water pathway with polymer header assembly, a rapid-heat transfer combustion chamber that is superior to titanium exchangers.

Hayward millivolt pool heaters have a push-button direct spark ignition system with a standing pilot light for optimum performance. The mechanical controls are simple to use. They are easy to adjust the water temperature and turn the unit on or off.

Hayward swimming pool heaters are simple to install, thanks to it's low profile design, light weight, and exclusive CPVC plumbing capability. The rust resistant water path, with injection-molded polymer header and union lock-nut assembly, provides for extended product life and simple installation. Exclusive CPVC plumbing kit included free with every Hayward millivolt heater. This allows for universal heater replacement and maximum plumbing versatility. Indoor draft hoods are sold separate and are required for indoor pool heater installation.

Hayward H-series millivolt pool heater is designed for maximum efficiency even under adverse conditions, such as low water flow and cold incoming water, uniquely sensitive thermal control valve continually monitors and regulates water flow, maintaining water temperature. Constructed of tough, durable Stainless Steel, H-Series burners can be removed individually or as a complete unit for easy maintenance and cleaning.

How to Choose a Pool Heater Size

The table below will help you to determine the desired size swimming pool heater you need for your application. Simply determine the surface area of your swimming pool in square footage and then the desired temperature rise. Please note, that this table represents the amount of BTU's required to increase the water temperature the desired degrees within a 24 hour time period.

Please refer to the table below for the amount of BTUs required to heat up your swimming pool. For example: A 500 square foot pool with a desired temperature increase of 20 degrees needs a BTU output per hour of at least 279,620 BTUs to heat the pool within 24-hours. The amount of BTU's required to maintain that temperature using a solar cover or solar blanket is much less. Please refer to the Pool Maintenance chart below to see the difference.
